Reasons why i shouldn't get hellbents ?!?

i was wondering if any of you guys bought bents and wish you went with something else?
I have to get them in a 165, and was wondering if there is any other fat pow ski in that area you guys would recommend over it ?

I had a pair, rode a buddy's JJ's and immediately sold the Hellbents and got JJs. Lighter, far more playful progressive ski than the Hellbents. I don't know how tall you are and what you're looking for, but they ski short, 165 is already short.

I've got jj's as well and love them. Bentchetlers or caylors are good choices as well but, hellbents are just not the right ski for most people because they were made for bottomless pow and nothing else, so any other pow ski will likely perform better in every condition you will be skiing in

know like 5 or 6 people who got hell bents and sold them for something else cause of the way the ride. JJ's are amazing and i love mine.

my only few regrets of getting them is that they are abit heavy, hard to use in the trees and arent too stable at higher speeds

otherwise an amazing ski

They were a game changer, but now other companies have refined and improved the design to make a more versatile ski than hellbents.

i ride my bents everyday no matter the conditions. if youre a good skier you will enjoy them. i can ski mine like they are a 160 slalom ski then next run turn them into a GS ski.

the powder is just stupid. super fun to butter around. you cant imagine a better ski for jumping pillow to pillow on.

that being said i just bought Icelantic gypsys. pretty much the same exact ski

Yea there's other skis that do everything better than the hellbents. IMO just not a very smart ski to get if you're not skiing bottomless pow all day

They're stupid, stupid skis and that's what makes them fun. Also they stomp like nothing else. The 189s are reasonably stable for a big ski as well. Certainly a lot more than, say, an EP Pro.

OP, you can only get them in a 165? What the hell, that's like a snowblade. I didn't know there WAS a 165.

Hah I agree it's tiny but I'm only 5'3" and 146lbs and I hear a 165 is really like 177 which my atomic blogs are

you gotta take into consideration effective edge..... the rocker on hellbents make them ski MUCH shorter....
