Touring Mt Hood

I want to try out a touring set up this summer but I'm not sure where I could go or even where I could rent. Anyone know which shops in govy or on the portland side rent touring stuff, how much it would cost me for a day and where some cool places to trek out to would be. I haven't been up there in a while so I dont really know where there are still snowfields.
