Hello all, I am venturing up to Mt. Hood this coming Friday and I cannot tell you how stoked I am to be making a fantasy reality! I know the skiing won't be the best of the best but it will tons of fun. I was wondering though, what is the weather like around there? I am planning on camping near the river and I am planning for the worst, hoping for the best. Is it going to be rainy? humid? what's the temperature going to be like? will it be total spring conditions and I'll just wanna wear like a flannel or will it be more chilly than that? Sorry to ask so many questions but I would like to know what I should pack for ya know haha. Thanks for any responses and free karamas to all!
supposedly sunny and hot for friday. leave your coat at home and wear a sweatshirt at the most. nights are a little chillier, especially the closer you are to hood. saturday it might rain but then again everything can go to shit instantaneously here so be prepared for everything.
Ya the snow is melting I was just up yesterday. By the end of the week your gonna have to walk quite a ways. Is there anyone Living in the Portland area that would want to carpool?
we are rebuilding the park tonight and will have that set up through the week. We will move half the stuff up on Sunday for the new park, and the rest the following day.
Will ticket prices go down after you move the park up? And sorry for my lack of knowledge I have yet to be to Hood but will the public park still be dope after it gets moved up??
good question. I'm from the east coast, but moving to seattle and was hoping to shred hood for 4 days from Aug 22nd to 25th. Since I've never been there, I'm kind of wondering what to expect around then--can anyone help a brotha out with a breakdown of what I might expect to see, just to get some daydreams rolling on the road trip out
Exactly. I'm hoping to be there around the same time, I just need to save some money throughout august. But I would like to have all the details and cost worked out before then.
Hell yeah, looking so fly. that two jump line has been in my dreams the last 4 months. I'm gonna be shredding wednesday thru saturday, get after me if you're up thurr--pm or holla at the dark blue armada softshell, black pants, black poc helmet. YEZZIR!
Anyone been up recently? I was there on Saturday and the setup was pretty dope. Unfortunately they had to doze the pipe which was probably the best ~12ft pipe of all time, but they still had an awesome 3 jump line, 25ft into big 35ft into 45ft really nice stepup. although whoever groomed that shit friday night made some messed up kinks in the lips and should be fired. In any case, just wondering if the jump line is still there, and if they've done anything with the spot where the pipe used to be. big ups to anyone with tha info
