I have an Apple iPhone 4S and a Samsung Galaxy SIII (work phone.)
Most of my computer gear is from Apple apart from my homebuilt media-center and a thinkpad (work PC.)
I like both phones,
I like the Galaxy for the endless customization, the raw power and the customization.
I like the iPhone for the smooth interface and attention to detail in the aspect of industrial design.
I hate the feel of the Galaxy do, it looks and feels so generic whilst the iPhone feels more expensive and solid. (At the cost of shattering glass, but you just shouldn't drop your phone at all.)
But in the end I mostly prefer the iPhone, when spec wise the Galaxy is better. Why?
It just works, the user experience is far better, especially if you already have other Apple devices.
With iOS I don't feel the need to customize everything where as with Android I do.
Also the App store houses far better quality apps.
It's just a finished product that works as it should and in an intuitive way, as it was intended.
Every one has different preferences but the best phone for you is the one you choose.
But it doesn't make the other phone worse. For another person another phone may be perfect and match his requirements.
There is no single "better" option when it comes down to opinion.
When I'm sailing I don't want my sensitive iPhone or Galaxy, I use my Sonim, for that situation it's perfect.
