Favorite golf course you've played

I know there are a ton of golfers on ns, so lets hear about your favorite course you've played.

Mine is Wine Valley in Walla Walla, it's Whitman's home course. Love the layout and the fact the course is in the middle of a wheat field with no highways or houses around so you hear nothing but wheat rusting in the wind. The Tri-Cities also don't get much rain so you can count on it being a nice, hot sunny day during the summer.

Wow such amazing views and really interesting course layout. Had a great time playing it and if anyone stays at the ritz carlton on maui i recommend you play it!

people who can afford to ski can afford golf. Also I think its cool that tons of pro surfers also are really good at golf

another fun course i have played was the turtle bay palmer course on the north shore of oahu, it has a crazy surf break along the beach too but i cant find a pic of that

Bro Hof Slott outside of Stockholm Sweden. Super technical course, really fun to play but its hard to score anything good on it if you dont have a majorly consistent long drive and really precise putting. Anyways the best and most challenging course I have played to date.     Click for larger image

A few for me are:

Montreux, in Reno, The Dragon at Nakoma, just outside of Reno in Cali, and several other cool ones in that area.

and soon to be Wolf Creek, Mesquite and Edgewood at Tahoe by the end of the summer, probably gonna play Pebble Beach next summer and hopefully Bandon Dunes in Oregon as well

There's a course right next to my house... Like literally across the lake from me. It was built, then foreclosed and now the bank owns it. This summer there arent any holes cut but last summer they were. We teed off from my dock across the lake to an island that has a green on it and called it a par three. We hit a bunch of balls over to the green and swam over to it with a shitty putter. Probably one of the coolest golf experiences Ive had. Part of me wants the course to open because it's a Nicklaus designed course.

I'll play Hazeltine once every week or so but I live right across the street from Braemar in Edina so I play there erryday

dutcher golf course in ny check it out, i dont nice courses would take me i use 3 clubs driver to about 290 46 wedge to 150 and a putter, and can only play in birkenstocks, the second shoes go on my game goes out the window

We should do golf exchanges, if people are in an area and you are a member of a course/can get discounts on a round/would be down to play a round with other ns'ers, that'd be sick!

holy shit ive played there to but ballybunnion old course in ireland. it is the second hardest course in ireland and top ten links in the world

Hyannisport on the cape. Fuckin beautiful. I caddy there so i get to play for free after 5. It's like 40k a year or some shit to be a member. Good deal for caddies.

I'm a big fan of the Detroit course, par is 3,168 but I'm usually a bogey golfer so I like to aim for 6,336 strokes

nice dude! I've played there a ton....do you like the highlands or the championship course best?

I haven't ever golfed a tour course, I'm more into the local best courses in random towns and cities, the ones that aren't heard of but the locals love em.

Belwood Oaks in Hastings MN is great

Mt. Frontinac in Frontinac MN is really fun to.

Cannon Falls Golf Club in Cannon Falls MN is probably my personal favorite its a fun and challenging course with long par 4s to really make you play your irons.

The highlands course is where it's at, but we would try and walk-on the lower course in the afternoons if it was slow. I lived in Red Wing for 2 years and played there as much as I could, but was usually too busy to play seriously. Usually ended up chilling at the driving range with more beers than golf balls more often than not.

I always preferred skiing at Mt. Frontenac over golfing there, but the Cannon Falls course always looked fun, although I never once played there despite living in MN for so long.

Dakota Dunes out here in Saskatchewan. There was to no change in the natural landscape. It's been voted the top course in Saskatchewan for a few years now. The wind can be pretty brutal though....

no course I've played can top my home course of Napa Valley Country Club. that course is challenging as shit and has some EPIC holes. Pretty much the whole back 9 is ridiculous.
