There was actually and article in a local paper about how minorities are "four times as likely to drown" as non-minorities, and how the locals were trying to increase swim lesson funding, because there are so many lakes nearby. (i live in the land of 10,000 lakes) i laughed

It was 108 when I was in Alabama, and over 100 for the highs the whole time I was there. Fuck that heat Western Washington's temperatures are so much more friendly. even though its 60 today, its usually in the 70's which is prime.

It's been so damn humid the last week, I hate it haha. I swear it gets over 100 degree's most days by 10:30. And most inner city black kids can't swim hahahah

I'm a lifeguard. Anyone that isn't white or asian absolutely cannot swim. They do enjoy flailing around in the shallow end however.

oh i know its brutal. only in minnesota can you go from -20 degrees one month to 100 degrees five months later.
