So a Hurricane Went Through the Prairie Provinces....
wow like 4 people must have been hit by that thing. who knows if the canadian break market is going to be able to recover. reports say local cows are outraged at the disaster relief effort.
It really sucked. A ton of branches down in my yard, shit was cray. It was really fucking scary too when it was happening. And there were some crazy ass clouds too, I'll try and find pictures. Also I live about an hour away from OP
That's crazy. We were definitely talking about those ice storms and how lucky we were it wasn't winter. I'm not saying I'm special for going 58 hours with it, but it's definitely a reminder about how we take basic things for granted.
in the ice storm of '98 in ontario there were people who went 7day-a month and a half of no power and peoples houses burned down because people would put hot coals from the fire place in the garage
A few years back a hurricane from the gulf came all the way up here to Ohio and went through my town. By the time it got to us it was a cat 1 but since it was so far inland they dont consider it a hurricane anymore. Most places were out of power for about a week, but I was one of the lucky bastards that had power through the whole event. Some of my buddies would come over to my house to charge their phones/laptops etc. Shit was pretty crazy, sent trees and branches flying through the air.
