He flew down a hill on a skateboard faster than many drive on the highway, but Mischo Erban says his Guinness World Record winning ride was "just a game." The 28-year-old achieved the fastest skateboard speed from a standing position by whizzing down a road in Quebec, Canada known as "the landslide" at 80.74 mph --and handily wore a headcam to capture his incredible view. But while we might be impressed, Erban apparently isn't. "I didn't really even feel challenged," he said. "I hope to be afraid one day. I want to be able to do 160mph ... There isn't a road which exists to do it on but I think it would be possible because it is possible for downhill skiers."

I saw a video of a guy going 60mph on that same hill in the rain. That was nuts. That hill is insane. Plus that view is incredible.

haha mischo isnt a lunatic, hes perfectly in control. he can slow down by airbreaking and then footbreaking/ sliding. people get going this fast regularly, he's just the only one who is try to set records.

I would assume some sort of parachute shaped like a triangle. It attaches to rear foot as well as both wrists

Going 80mph is fucking crazy and he only took the record by a few tenths of a mph. The fastest I've gone is 50 maybe 55 and to me that is fast. If you fall at the speed he was going you will be dinner and need skin graphs.

Those of you that DH skate. Fuck the police never stop for them (unless they aren't douche assholes stop). every time I have stopped its turned into a big hassle of shit for me. Plus its kind of fun to evade the police when you are hauling balls down a hill.
