2013 Line Chronic

I've heard MANY good things about them. They are a big differance to last years, with 10% lighter wieght. I'm thinking about getting them but there is a factor that is making me wonder. And that is money. They are kinda expensive, expassaly with the bindings that im getting. (Rossignol FKS 180 Ski Bindings 2013) which are also sick. So if anyone out there can give me more information on them so I can figure out if buying the skis would be worth it, i woudl be thankful. Thanks.

I'm gonna go ahead and say that judging by your lack of knowledge overall you probably do not need fks 18's.

Dont get heavy bindings on a ski thats already heavy. Get Rossi Axial2's, work like a dream on my Chronics

I'd revise your choice on bindings, if your set on FKS I would get the FKS 155. Both the FKS 18 and 15 have the metal toe if thats what you're after. Save the cash and get the 15, plus I don't even know why anyone in the park would want/need 18 din bindings, 15s should definitely be fine.

This Axail2s are by far my favorite 12din binding. I use them for park and they work great

I have a hunch these are your first park ski, so no I would not get them with the fact that they are pricey and you will most likely beat them to death with learning tricks etc.

If you really want fks, try to find some fks 155s used, or if you're absolutely convinced you need the 18 din, go for some used 185s or p18s. I saw some super nice p18s on gear trade for 190 a little while ago. Deals aren't that hard to find and you'll save your money. And about the skis, I like the 2012 version better than the 2013; I think there's a lot of hype about the added rocker but it really won't be much more than an extended tip/tail. The main differences are flex, graphics, and half cap half sidewall. I personally prefer a full sidewall, a more medium flex than a noodley one, and I think this years and last years graphics are sick. So I'd try to find a pair of the old ones if I were you. Bottom line: buy older stuff, save money.
