Newschoolers-
I'm trading my hellbents for a pair of '10 Moment Night Trains in a 186. I've searchbarred and googled what people think about the mounting point for Night Trains, and there has been a lot of discussion about mounting at or behind the reccommended line (especially on TGR). I'm 5'11" and only 140 lbs, and I was thinking about throwing some deadbolts or fks on them either at the reccommended line (-5 from TC) or +2 from the line (-3 from TC). Would I lose float significantly with the more forward mount? I'm mainly looking for something that can charge and truck through variable conditions, which were the main attributes that my hellbents lacked, hence the trade. I'm thinking that at my weight, the difference in float would be negligable, and the addition of a little bit more tail for stomping and a more even swing weight would be worth it. What are your thoughts? For the people who have had experience with NTs mounted forward of the line, how did they perform? Thanks guys.
