google how you get it into DFU mode, then take it from there as of plugging it to your computer and restoring it in itunes

Literally the exact same thing happened to me, my iPod got stolen and a few weeks later when I got it back, it said it was locked for 22 million odd minutes. I plugged it into my computer and it was fine
