It's easier to fill in the outline of the piece because you have a better idea of what you are filling. You outline the pice again with the color you want after you have filled it in.
i dont get it. that guy just putting mediocre tags and a couple of big "pieces" which were also just his name in a bunch of typical slummy graffiti filled places.
seems pretty typical, even compared to the limited amount of graffiti related shit ive seen on here
Because hes doing it in broad daylight in public in areas where most people wouldnt have the balls. i.e. the subway station.
It takes getting fame to a new level.
not arguing with you, rasko's was good. but the niggas in paris one, to me, had way more of the tagging in broad daylight. like in one of the shots a dude in the subway was banging on the window at them
Thanks, thats video is pretty cool. I my self don't write but have multiple friends that do. The kid in my video recently got caught by the cops and got a $2,000 fine so he doesn't go bombing much anymore.
well you outline it with one color, fill it with that color and then outline it again in another color to expose the letters. This is what i was trying to say
Niggas in paris one made me mad more than anything. theirs wasnt even art, some minimum wage city worker is gonna have to clean that shit up, and dont say "well it gives them a job to do"
Gotta, say graffitis are cool, but fucking writing your name on the subway is straight up stupid. At least be creative and do something different.
And saying "broad daylight in public in areas where most people wouldnt have the balls. i.e. the subway station.
It takes getting fame to a new level." come on, thats not the point of graffiti.
Think im going to stick to stencils and real graffitis.
Getting fame is not the point of writing graff?
Know your roots.
Watch Style Wars if you need an education on it. You think stencils is "real graffitis"?
If artists only make art to make themselves famous, then why do some kids like todraw/paint so much, even at an early age? My little cousin can never put down the paintbrush and she's like 5. Obviously not looking for only fame. Some people just like to draw/sculpt/write/photograph/play/whatever.
Actually, graffiti was birthed by JUST names.... And for the record that had/has meaning. It says "FUCK YOU I'M HERE RECOGNIZE ME." Maybe not some idealist pseudo-political meaning you're searching for, but meaning nonetheless. And that is, factually, how graffiti started.
lol the first graffiti was for prostitutes advertising, then romans used it for advertising in general, but it was pretty much accepted back then. what we think of as the roots of modern graff has almost nothing to do with a message, and everything to do with a name.
what is the point of just writing your name all over the place? it would be so much cooler if he actually made an image, message, or something that is worth looking at instead of doing the same exact thing every other nuisance graffiti bomber has been doing for decades. the clearly has talent and could easily become an artist if he wanted to, but doing that is just an elaborate way to deface property, nothing else.
yeah its bombing. you can argue all you want but thats just what it is. there are lots of different types of graffiti. while people like banksy are much more liked in the public eye due to it having a message, many writers would argue he is a biter ( of blek the rat) , disrespectful ( whole robbo incident) , and frankly isnt that skillful as stencils are alot easier. but im not taking sides, it just is what it is.
Banksy may bite off Blek Le Rat a little on a fe pieces but Banksy looks up to him and if banks does bite a little he adds his own things to his art so its different. Le Rat likes Banksy's work and likes how banksy has blown up the stencil graffiti scene. They are both good artists.
yeah i dont really have an opinion on it cause i dont really care. i was just stating the other views to that other guy. but yeah i pretty much like and respect all kinds of graffiti , including stencils, burners, tags etc
