Fireworks

The first fireworks store just opened in my town after the new law that stated that they are legal in the state of Maine took effect on January 1st. Yay!

BUT WAIT.

Every town in the state has sub-laws on the matter. The hard ass politicians in my town decided to constrain the legality of fireworks to just the day before and after the 4th of July and New Years. Fuck!

So here's my question:

What are the laws in you guys's towns?

And if it's similar to mine, how much do people and the cops (more importantly, the cops) care when people light off a few on "illegal days"?

I'm still gunna light some off, as I did when they were illegal now and again, but I'd like to know how secretive I should be about it. Inb4 you can't hide fireworks.

ya i know what you mean, im on some fire watch list because of illegal fireworks and making bonfire in the woods, one time they called my parents and said they suspected me of starting a shed on fire, it had been not even a day since the fire, and we had been in Hawaii for a week already, needless to say the fire department is just a bunch of dicks who have nothing better to do than pick on kids because there are like 2 small house fires a year in Portland (because it always rains and never gets very hot out.
