Salomon 20/12's or Rossi Scimitars? Please Help

I am an experienced east coast skier, been skiing for 13 years. Specifically, I ski everywhere, in the park, off-piste, on piste and I have come down to these skis. If any one has ridden these skis any input would greatly be appreciated. I am looking for an east coast ski that can do it all not perfectly but just so it can get the job done.

research- Twenty twelves-are very damp, have rocker tip and tail, 91 or 92 waist, all-mountiain ski, heard their pretty good in powder and in the park.

scimitars-96 waist a little bit heavier have a reversed chamber rocker-kind of shaped like a banana which i believe is good for powder, but how much powder is up in the east coast, not that much maybe after a long storm at ay peak.

Please- just need input on these skis(pros and cons), and the experiences you have had on them

Well I have the 2012's and I love them. Good pop, light and soft. They hold up on the groomers and in the small amount of pow we have. The only cons I found is the topsheet chip easely.

Wanna get some answers, yes i know i just really am going to kill myself not literally, but just because they're so many skis.

I have the twenty twelves and they're sick. They do NOT behave the durability issues of the suspects. 8/10 would buy again (and this year the ski has been renamed the rocker 90 or 92, it's one of those two skis)

Ok, it must be changed slightly then because the original 2012's had a 91 waist while the 92's and 90's have their waists respectively.

from what i've seen, its identical, still 91 just called rocker 92 for some aesthetic reason. the pair i was on were marked as 91 in the waist.

Oh, lol that's perfect than. So yeah they will be the same ski. Wish the kept the name twenty twelve. So classy.

i had the 2012's last season, and they were super fun, really flexable. light, rocker was pimp for the pow days. id get them again.

with regard to the width, salomon change the dimensions of there skis depending on the size. This helps keep the turn radius consistent between different sizes. The 186 size will be 92mm underfoot hence the rocker 92 name.

To the op, the 2012 is a very fun ski, great carver, good in a little pow and fun in the park. Maybe not the best for big jumps, the suspect is better for that, but overall its a very fun and solid ski.
