A lot of people seems to think that Sweden is the home of fucking and sluts. These things never happen in Sweden. I mean, we do get our share of vag but I haven't heard about a girl close to anything being told in this thread.

I don't hate you, I just have a problem with what you're saying. It's not bad for someone to be a 'slut' at all, that word just has a negative connotation. What you said there is saying that it would be bad to be a slut. I am saying that you should be able to be as sexually promiscuous as possible and not get harrassed because of it. You know?

Ohhh okay my bad. I didn't know that positive sex education doesn't help inform people about safe sex and that it's the girl whose fault it is, not the guy for engaging in sex (though she should tell people) and that lots of sex = STD's. I am clearly missinformed.

At a homecoming afterparty I was at for only a brief few minutes a friend of mine and another kid started making out with this girl. lots of sex increases rates of stds, are you really that dumb? I'm not saying that the guys shouldn't be just as to blame (and in the case of the rape charged with it), but slutty is not a good thing.

like I said in my previous post.. multiple partners INCREASES your chance for STD's. Its not an automatic, its not a given, but it is an increased rate. Also, condoms don't eliminate your chances of contracting stds.

I'm not an idiot, I know those things. Obviously having sex with a new partner is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. STD's are a major concern of mine, as I do plan to marry and have a family someday. I take precautions and I get tested regularly; however, I know that even then it isn't enough. I don't just sleep with random people though.

Okay, so do you think it's reasonable to tell others what choice they should make when it comes to their sex lives? It's really up to the individual isn't it? I mean, sure maybe you don't want to have a lot of sex or sexual partners, but you would let other people do that right? If you enjoy going out and having fun, safe, consensual sex with people I just cannot imagine how their is anything wrong with that. Sure it can be more risky, but you can be safe. Like skiing right?

of course its up to the individual, but it shouldn't be encouraged. Just because someone should be able to eat 6000 calories a day and weigh 600 pounds doesn't mean it should be praised. sexual promiscuity does hurt others as well, not only in the spread of STD's, but it also costs a ton of money in health care costs

Alright if you are worried about health care costs, the best way to reduce those is with the sex positive harm reduction model, where sex is neither encouraged or discouraged, but all the information is presented in a non-judgmental way. If people are going to have sex, but are worried because it is being discouraged and has a negative association to it, they will be less inclined to openly seek condoms, and other forms of STI reducing products. Because people don't want to have a disease.. they want to have sex. And I'm not even sure if the health care costs are relevant. I live in Canada, and I am sure I know my skiing hobby has put a burden on the health care system and tax payers, would you say I should give that up? How does sexual promiscuity hurt others? I mean sure there are ways that it can, like cheating etc, but that's not the kind of sex I am talking about.
