Skis with the most durable edge?

After destroying my atomic punx this year, totaling out at 10 edge cracks on each ski. Going into this season i'm looking for skis with great edge durability. Nothing specific, just name some companies that have well built ski with and edge that can take a good amount of rail abuse.

Best edges on the market, no question. Mine went through some HEAVY abuse and they only have a couple edge cracks with no separations form the ski.

My favorite edges are armadas. There not the strongest by any means but they round down nicely and even when they crack, I havnt suffered too badly with edge pullouts. Even on my old AR6's where the sidewall blew out a few times, the edges were still there.

I know no one will believe this but the strongest edge I have had, was the suspects I had last year. I didnt really like them, even after rounding, they were sharp and I kept catching. I think over time they would have broken down and been smother but for me, they were a little too strong.

So overall, I vote armada.

I like the suspects and all, and I am riding a pair at the moment, but saying that they have the strongest edges is just silly.

Well my suspects have had the strongest edges of skis I have used, I did not say they are the strongest of any brand. So out of Armada, K2, Dynastar, Rossi and salomon, the suspects had the strongest edge, but again thats what I found.

Seriously Armada uses the skinniest most bitchass edges I have seen on a ski. ON3P has the fattest edges I have seen on any ski.

Its not just how thick the edge is, its how well they are built into the sidewall/core. You could have a skinny edge but if its well protected by the sidewall, chances are it wont be bad.

I have never had chance to look at a pair of ON3P skis let alone ski them, so I cant comment on them.

You guys need to stop with your fanboy shit, it puts people off the brand. I would have bought ON3P the previous season, but I didn't want to be the owner of skis made by a company where most of their followers are pretentious jerks. Ginko said it some other thread a long time ago, but you guys are honestly hurting their brand, not helping it. Kindly recommend the brand over others, but leave your 10 year old hyperbolic posts for yourself.

On3p's edges are off the wall. Living in the midwest i ride rails 90% of the day 6 days a week and only have 1 edge crack on my FRs after 80+ days of riding.

This is true. I completely plan on making ON3P my next purchase for pow sticks, but still wish everyone wasn't so polarizing when talking about them.

Armada has some sick ones. My K2 edges started tearing out, but they lasted a year and a half

i know paying for quality from on3p in saying that 1 pair of on3ps will last a lot longer than others. but the cash you have to drop on a pair, especially on park skis. seriously $600

But at the same time if they do last alot longer then maybe you won't have to spend as much money over a longer period. And wiscofilm, I've only seen a few pairs of Moments in my time, looked good, and I've heard alot of good things about them.

My Libery LTEs had been used for almost 2 full seasons of Midwest Skiing (mostly rails) without having a single edge crack or pullout

Filing down burrs and edge cracks can help prevent pullouts. Keeping your skis nice and tuned and taking proper care of them (dry them in the garage, not in the back of your car) can extend the life on almost any pair of skis.

It's my money, I can do whatever I like with it.


But I understand your point. There are some quality materials used to produce any of ON3P's line and it comes at a price. Which is a very reasonable for what they are.
