I know there are a few of you on here. What am I looking at as far as canon EF adapters. I have heard the metabones adapter is works pretty good - but hard to find in stock. Any ideas, recommendations? If I can find a reliable system I am considering making the purchase this summer. The other question, is it worth waiting for the 700?

I know a few users like the novaflex adapters. Fs700 is going to be worse in low light and have a noisier footage at higher framerateS.

worse low light? why do you say that? and high frame rates have lower bit rate/resolution but so far everything has looked decent.

I'd say if you're gonna switch to the fs100 and ditch you canon system, ditch you lenses too. Unless you're gonna keep your dslr for photos or as a Bcam, its not worth keeping you ef lenses. the EOS system is worthless unless you use canon dslrs, its stupid.

Id be more than happy to answer more questions about the fs100, shoot me a PM, ive owned one for about 9 months now.

4k sensor I believe. I'm also fairly sure it's been confirmed that it isn't as good in low light.

Also, unless your main game is still photography on Canon DSLRs, Canon lenses are possibly the worse route to go for glass.

I saw a video yesterday and the fs700 held up well in low light, just like the fs100

I will be keeping two DSLRs for B cams so I would rather not redo all of my glass. So are you saying using canon glass on the Sony is stupid? Will it work? or is it noticeably different? I don't mind ditching my primes and getting Zeiss ones but for shooting skiing next year I use my 70-200 more than anything and I am not seeing a convenient replacement for that physically and monetarily. Do the adapters take down the quality?

Its just annoying to use EOS lenses because the aperture is electronic, so you have to use a special adapter. It does not effect quality. I like using nikon lenses because you can adjust the aperture manually without electronics. the nikon 80-200 is very comparable to the canon 70-200.

If you pick up the kit lens (18-200) you will be pleasantly surprised. Being able to control iris in camera is great and the fs100 autofocus is actually a pretty decent tool depending on the application.

Philip Bloom is pretty stoked on the metabones adapter and I know others that have found it to be quality as well. Kevin Steen and Mike Clarke are both shooting canon glass on their fs100's with great success.

quoted for truth. I think this has been noted in a variety of early fs700 reviews/footage. 4k sensor, having to use high shutter speeds for slowmo etc.
