heard they are aiming for opening before cardies, snow has fallen today and has covered most of the resort

staff training is wednesday through thursday so sounds like friday could be go time

Snowpark is financially fucked.

Their groomers were taken, but that's the least of their worries. I'm not too sure about the whole reservoir thing though, most likely to do with their financial woes.

I think they have no snow making this year because they couldn't pay their water bill. And i think they had to get rid of a few cats but not all. It sucks to see snowpark dying :( Been happening for a while though, slowly and painfully.

The road up to Snow Park could be a major problem though.

The road is owned by Southern Hemisphere Proving Grounds, the car testing facility, and Snow Park is meant to be paying for use of the road, maintaining it etc, but they haven't been paid.

It'll be interesting to see how this seasons plays out for Snow Park.

they lost 2 brand new cats they just purchased at the end of last season, leaving them a 300w and a 275. two cats that are not up to industry standards for building a world class park.

They also have not made snow yet.

Their future sounds weak

- The cats were never owned, they were leased.
- There is no Zaugg for the pipe, it's a global cutter.
- The Global cutter won't be on a 275, it'll be on a PB 300 with a winch.
- There are no road access issues.
- There aren't any reservoir issues.
- There is snowmaking this year.
