Imovie editing question

i'm completely new to editing, and i wanted to know if someone can explain to me how to pause the music track so you can hear the audio from your video, and then have the song start right where it left off after?

Look for an option to "cut" or "split."

Split the audio track where you want it to cut out. Then drag the 2nd piece of the track to where you want to have it start again.
