Hey, If anyone could answer this question it would be very much appreciated!!
So I have an early 2008 macbook which is no longer working very well, and im looking to replace it with a 2012 macbook air .
The new macbook air has a 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 proccessor with ivy bridge technology. However, my old computer from almost 5 years ago, and was cheaper has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I am concerned because I value processing speed quite a bit, and it seems as if the new macbook air computer will actually have worse processing speed then my computer from 5 years ago.
Therefore my question is essentially: Is there more then just GHz to a processor? Will my new computer actually have faster processing then my old one?
