Why is Jiberish so Liked?

So Jiberish is probably the most wanted clothing buy most NS and I don't get it,
I mean the only jiberish I personally like is the purple drip check and the ignant, and maybe boiler crew but other than that I don't really get they're design like this one http://www.jiberish.com/product.cfm?ProdID=313 do people really like that? http://www.jiberish.com/product.cfm?ProdID=163, and alot others
this is my opinion, but if you like those^ please tell me why

this is coming from someone who has yet to own jiberish but i've tried on and very much enjoyed a few pieces. I was also very confused why everyone liked it so much and i can see why with the quality and variety of products that they offer plus the tall ass sizes are sick too. Their history of sick pieces probably helps out a lot too. thats just my guess

The more valued jiberish is there older designs. I am not a fan of many of the new winter collection designs, but they stepped it up in their summer line.

cause back in the day jiberish used to be made for skiers. They had innovative designs that skiers could wear on the hill, and their big sized were appealing. Lately they have been making a lot more streetwear oriented stuff, but people will still buy it cause its jiberish, and people will continue to love their old stuff.

jiberish is way to expensive for me, smaller companies like hardway make way cooler stuff in my opinion for half the price and just as durable

This is why people like Jiberish so much. You use the word "pieces" when they're really just shirts/hoodies. It's the same reason people buy Apple products. The branding is more important than the actual product.

I'd also say that part of it is their team with guys like Wallisch, Harlaut, Delorme, and Hornbeck. Now they have Vila and Sean Jordan, they are pretty stacked.

It's kind of become more of a Supreme-esque situation. Jiberish is often quite limited in quantity, which creates a pseudo-incredible demand. A lot of their streetwear stuff is quite coveted and in style. And it started off as a clothing company that catered to skiers.

With the move to Boston, the revamping of the summer line, and the addition of more streamlined customer service, it is clear that they are aiming to move more and more into streetwear.

People including myself like jiberish because it is a limited exclusive clothing company. People like jiberish because it's goal is no to make money, it is artists driven and mainly ski and skateboard consumer based. Supporting jiberish does not support just clothing it supports a culture of creative artists and atheletes and musicians.

this, i mean look at first drop, they're selling some for 35$, and really 45$ for a hat, but yeah i like maybe 15% of jiberish's products, and i dont understand why they have jeans on their site, stupid

I dont like some of their stuff, but I have bought a lot of stuff I really like. They fit good, they're unique, and are made with good quality.

Its not just about the clothes, its about being part of the community. You know when you see someone wearing jiberish, they most likely ski. I like wearing it as streetware because its unique, and represents my passion for skiing. When ever someone asks me "what is jiberish" I can explain my passion, and others.

High quality my ass. Their t shirts are worse than walmart tshirts. seriously. Collars get stretched out big time, and when you wash them they shrink like crazy.


p.s. and before any of you say "o well you didnt wash them right" its a damn tshirt. you wash and dry it like anything else. It shouldn't be a science project to wash one.

Jiberish has done a great job of finding a demographic, that is completely obsessed with looking cool, then created an artificial exclusiveness by limiting production, and selling at a premium.

So the answer to the OP's question is: Because you're all fucking suckers and lemmings.

hanging to dry isn't really a science project, although from the one jib shirt i wear i realized the fabric can get stretched pretty quickly if u get it snagged.... sweatshirts are still awesome quality (in recent years) and the t-shirts are soft and nice regardless of how easily they stretch/shrink

Their quality hoodies. I was skeptical about jiberish and their high prices so I bought the smash and grab last year to see what all of the fuss is about. their hoodies are absolutely amazing. the detail, color, fit, and fabric are just all top notch. Can't say the same for the shitrs though. they are a little thin unfortunately.

I like how you picked out Jiberish from the latest winter line... Go back and look at 09/10, some stuff from 10/11 and you will see why Jiberish is liked. It has good quality and supported the freeskiing movement with unique designs and sizing.
