College Dorms

I just got my housing statement and apparently I am going to be in one of the few freshman dorms that is a quad.  Just curious if anyone on here has any experience living in a quad (non-suite style)?

Pros, I guess it is a good deal cheaper and there is a slight possibility we will get our own bathroom.

Cons. I have heard that most quads are pretty much a triple-sized dorm that they threw an extra bed in and called it a quad making it way small for 4 people to live in.

Havent made up my mind if this is going to be cool or absolutely blow yet. Thoughts?

sounds to me like it will all depend on the people your with, if they are chill it would be the funnest year ever but if you don't really like them its gunna suck.

Where are you going to school?

I go to UVM and the quads were just floor common rooms that they turned into dorms. We barely had any actual triple rooms, almost everyone was in a double room with 3 people.

i lived in one my sophomore year, but it was 3 great friends. We had tons of fun. We all got along perfectly too, but every now and then you need some quiet time, so make sure you have headphones or something.

Moved out of my dorm yesterday, let me tell you that shit gets old. It's fun and all but living in a box for nine months with prison guards(RA's) starts to be a bit of a drag. Also moving out is a fucking bitch. Nice avatar by the way

I can assure you will consume inordinate amounts of alcohol. it's in your best interest to acquire an N64 with mario kart and 64 smash; you can thank me when you're playing drinking smash bros at 2 am on a wednesday morning

Jesus christ that sucks. I had a 2 person room to myself and shared a bathroom with just one other girl. Who knows though, maybe your 3 roommates will all be awesome or maybe they'll be the type that are never around. At any rate, college is fun, enjoy it!

At Delaware, I was in a typical double room with 2 other people... so a triple. Yeah, it was a small squeeze, but both roommates were awesome guys. Never had any problems with bringing chicks back, studying, etc. Just think of it as having a bigger group of friends right off the bat.
