shit I need a gh2.
Has anyone used the cheaper panasonic m4/3s cameras? Like the gf2 for example. This article says the only down side is that it doesn't have manual video controls, but it's been hacked and you can now.

idk why you would downgrade from a canon to a gf2. There is no point in leaving canon unless you are going for a GH2 or a better camera.

So what is the outcome of this test?

Personally I thought that the 5D Mark III shots were slightly nicer than most of the GH2 shots, although the GH2 seemed to handle the shaky part better & that tele zoom was damn nice.

Someone fill me in! Thanks!

Look yourself and see, especially look at those trees. Its much more detailed and sharper (crisper looking).

Really? The GH2 shots were far higher quality than that of the 5D. I thought the shake tests were indistinguishable.

I think he probably just liked the color and stuff better, some of the gh2 shots were really flat (Since they were ungraded).

Ahhhhh! the great cannon marketing. I was tricked into getting canon. dont get me wrong i love my 60d but if i would have known about the gh2 when i bought mine i would have in a heart beat. But alas everyone i talked to said canon, canon, canon! So i bought the canon and shortly after i stumbled across the gh2 on the web and was bummed.... but got to make do with what you got!

Thanks. I am obviously not very experienced with anything to do with filming whatsoever, and I didn't notice that much quality difference. Maybe when I looked really closely. I'll watch it again.

This and HD. You can download the full res image comparison (I believe, maybe that was another gh2 vs 5d comparison) also, so you can zoom in on it and stuff.
