after the success of last seasons thread and the new season only a short wait away after the euros i think it could be time to kick this off

di matteo is set to be confirmed as the new chelsea manager, will he work miracles again?

who's your team and how well do you think they'll do this year?


i'm a sunderland fan and i think we will be top 10 and maybe just sneak into the europa league

the liverpool home kit on the other hand, is perfect. Saw one in person the other day and it looks absolutely flawless.

everton home shirt looks...exactly as it has for as long as i can remember.

tottenham have under armour now, which once again, look the same as always

that arsenal away kit is just so...meh. I don't like or hate it. I definitely won't buy one, but i think they might look good playing in it

no draft. you get a certain amount of money and players are all assigned a value which will fluctuate wih their play. You use your money to assemble the best team possible.

I think after the season starts you can see my squad and others'. They make you wait so you cant just copy and tie me for the top spot

RVP is pretty much officially gone.

Arsenal is still looking pretty potent if they can keep play consistent.

As a Manchest Utd fan I still thinks it'weird that hes going to play for united. I wish Arsenal well and feel terrible for Welbeck/Chicharito. I guess Berba is definitely gone now. I will miss him even though he hasnt seen muh action recently

I don't think this really affects Arsenal's realistic prospects for the league which is a top 4 finish. They've brought in replacements and have proven to be an incredibly resilient club when losing star players. They are starting to look like a feeder club for the Manchester clubs (and Barca) though which will have to end if they're ever serious about winning the league.

As for United I don't think this will win them a huge amount of extra points this season. It's more about squad depth to rival City's and tip them over them.

Still think Arsenal will be better than last year. Let's not forget that RVP is a 29 year old with only one truly outstanding season to his name.

agreed. if they dont lose song to barca they have the best midfield in the league. another defender or two would probably help though. haha

yeah. diaby is a really good player but definitely can't be relied upon to stay healthy. m'vila maybe? he's probably better defensively than song, but definitely a worse distributor than song

yeah they have such a solid back line now (stoke) if huth can come back 100%

shawcross huth cameron then filler (shotton, wilkinson, etc)


the thing they really need is goals. would love to see them finish above tenth place this year

Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to Football. Well, I watched a few games when I was a child. The FIFA World Cup was in Japan when I was visiting so I went and watched 2 matches. Ended up buying the FIFA game for it in 2002 as well. But, after that never really had any interest in Football. Just a month ago, my friend suggested I get FIFA 12. I was hesitant but, he insisted that if I play it, I will not want to play anything else, and I will become a Football fan. Boy was he right. After playing FIFA 12 for about a month now. I have been daily checking up on Football news. Nobody probably cares, but just be warned if I say something wrong, I probably don't know. ^^

As for my team, some of you may know, I am an avid Formula 1 fan. And a fan of Sauber. So, naturally seeing the Chelsea badge on their car, I am rooting for Chelsea this season. My opinions on teams will probably change as I get to watch a few games but, for the moment Chelsea as my team. I think they usually have strong teams so, they should be in the top 5. Losing Didier is probably going to hurt them though.

I am going to sign up for that Fantasy league as well after typing this. So, I expect to see some awesome scores from that as well.

Chelsea - Champions of the World (come December)
Wouldn't exactly put my money on Chelsea to win but I think they can do damage this year with Oscar, Mata, Marin, Hazard, Torres and Lampard..

Doubt anyone really cares about La Liga, but Madrids title defense starts tomorrow...And Ive been a fan since I was 7 ;-) so 12 years...So no I am not a bandwagon fan

Haha that they were, but it stemmed more from my Catalan uncle bringing my brother and me kid kits, one Barca, one Madrid. Who knows why he bought a Madrid kit..

And more drama in La Liga and Serie A? I agree with Serie A, but EPL has its fair share of drama, whether it be coach speculation, transfer sagas (RVP, Modric, Dempsey, etc), or just plain stupidity like Balotelli.
