sure, so how about this. i cannot wait to see how United fairs next year. like yeah Moyes might be as close to continuity as you can get, and they still have many of the old heads like giggs, vidic, evra, rio (idiot) and even rooney (still young but very experienced). but replacing THAT man who was in the job for 26 years is impossible, there are bound to be bumps along the way. id be very surprised if they run away with it again next season.
city will also have a new manager. impossible to say who but presumably an upgrade from mancini. likeable guy and respect what hes done at city but definitely overrated, more of a manager like ranieri or benitez than a top top guy. city will also spend big which will help. but they've had problems like the whole tevez saga, balo being a nutter, dzeko unhappy (apparently aguero too), nasri just calling in. idk, might be rich coming from a chelsea fan but something doesn't seem right there. just seems like return on investment's been poor. not saying theyre going to do a liverpool though, they will challenge for the title and could win easy if they bring the right manager in. and europe, will they finally make a run?
chelsea - strange season and long one playing 69 games. still if we win the Europa league tomorrow then its success in my books (if not then its pretty bad). its hard to gauge the transfer potential these days, dont think were on the level of city, psg or madrid - youth is the current trend. more important though is the manager, the clubs a mad house at this postion so who the hell do they bring in now? if its Mourinho we become serious contenders, hes shown to go into clubs and do the business right away, no growing pains like city or man U might see.
for tottenham all eyes will be on gareth bale. havent heard noise about him leaving other than madrid (cause thats what madrid does) but he has saved their bacon multiple times this year - massive player. without him it all looks mediocre but i think they have a great core, AVB has good ideas and will only mature/get better. if they continue to push for CL places that winning culture will come in too, bonus. not familiar with their transfer resources though they seem to do quite well, probably need a striker.
anyways, as you can tell im almost more excited for the manager shuffling than players. maybe being a chelsea fan im hyperaware of managers but i think their importance is often undervalued. martinez for example fielded a starting 11 in the FA Cup final that cost 11 million pounds TOTAL, i believe all of city's players were worth more (much) more than that. also moyes has done great at everton, its the difference between them and a club like villa or newcastle who just bounce up and down. i think these will be the most interesting teams for the top third of the table, theres a big gap after 7th place.
