Weird, spooky, unexplained shit that people find or come upon in the woods. These threads are fucking great. Here is one from Glocktalk

I'm not sure if anyone has any stories on here, but feel free to contribute. I only have found some pretty decent sized pot-grow ops and an old crashed wwII bomber that was previously discovered and documented, nothing that exciting.

i found this big hole with a roaring noise coming out of it. climbed in, got superpowers alone with my 2 of my friends. my black friend died, then i had to kill my cousin because he let the power get to his head and fucked up seattle. Think they made a movie about it /claim

I live in the woods, so i find weird shit all the time. usually is nothing cool, like old cars and house foundations. Me and some friends found this abandoned house about 1/4 mile away from where i live, and we would go there to chill all the time. it had been stripped of pretty much everything but a few furniture peices and an old ass tv that we never got working. other than that, ive found a few hobo shacks which creep me the hell out (especially the ones that are visibly new). my neighbor found a dead body near his house a couple years ago, and it was super easy for detectives to figure out who the murderer was (i think it was over a conflict with borrowing his lawnmower and not returning it or some stupid shit). also the largest marijuana bust in our county was literally at the end of my road, and i never even knew about it.

yesterday while on a hike i found next to a river a clothes line, a fire pit, a bunch of pots and pans that had been used hanging on a tree, and like 10 5 gallon buckets all just sitting there. around 10 minutes later i found a skeleton of what looked like it used to be a deer. not sure if they were related, but I was still pretty surprised finding them.

Before my parents bought my house it was a popular dumping ground. There's shit everywhere. Also an old cemetery in the middle of the woods a mile or 2 from my house. Will try and get pics tomorrow.

Not in the forest but on the beach at night super high. I then looked at my feet and saw that the ground was lighting up around my feet when ever I stepped down on the sand. At first I though I was tripping for some reason because it seemed and looked to crazy to be real. And I told my friend that the ground was lighting up and he started cracking up and thought I was tripping but then he saw it too. I think they were little bugs in the sand. Super crazy looking.

While grouse hunting last fall, a buddy and I found a plastic bag taped to a tree with a full deck of cards in it.  All where Joker cards.  It looked like they had been there a while.

I found two quite possibly related hobo tents just outside my development of about 200 houses, shit was crazy and way unexpected. This was when I was 10 and took place over like 3 months, and really stuck with me for some reason. The first one we found was collapsed and covered in snow...so bizarre. The second one was right by my elementary school, and there was a intruder on campus like 3 weeks after my friend and I found it, we assumed it was the same guy becuase the IOC was a homeless dude with a knife and a baseball bat. Still kinda sketches me the fuck out that that guy could've been there when my 10 year old self was adventuring in the woods and fucking went crazy on me. The dude ended up in a mental hospital, completely whacked out. On a somewhat unrelated note, he peed on our principal. All of us in the elementary school were pissed off because it delayed field day. I'm just rambling now. The connections might not be legit but it makes an interesting story in my head. Whatever.

Theres a tiny rock quory near my house that has rock that is only found in two places in the world, one is Sanford Maine. Who the hell would imagine that, it's like here and italy or something. Can't remember the name but it's these like jet black crystals. My brothers and I used to pull huge pieces out of there so dope. My parents just found a bunch of them in our garden we forgot about wonder wht theyre worth cleaned up?

A few years ago i found an abandoned stretch of highway overpass, most fallen down, in the middle of the woods. The weird part was there was no sign of a road on either side of the couple segments and it was on flat ground.

yesterday me and my friends drove like 8 miles north of his farm, cause he knew there was this cool little cabin there, so we went to it and stayed the night. we had to hike like another 2 miles with our backpacks, sleeping bags, and pillows. Like half a kilometer from this cabin there's a huge slough that is the size of a lake, and then right beside the lake is a big field that had a really old collapsed house and a bunch of shit. the cabin was amazing though, it had everything you could ever need, whoever stocks it knows what the fuck is up. It had bunk beds, cots, a wood stove, all sorts of pots and pans, toilet paper, tons of other helpful shit, a shit ton of water bottles, 3 packs of cigarettes, matches, bug spray, peanut butter, a rocking chair, and a ton of mattresses. it was dope.

tomorrow i'll post the story of me and my friends being high as hell in the woods, meeting a coke dealer on the run from the cops on accident briefly, then witnessing him being taken down by 8 cops and dogs. and i had weed the whole time, i was buggin.

In the woods by UConn there's an old WWII facility where they used to run chemical experiments on dogs. Hiked by it one day. Its eerie, lots of barbed wire and a little observation booth. It's pretty small and low key but honestly I felt like I could hear the dogs barking. Shit was fucked up.

Being a bowhunter, I was hunting near my uncle's ranch one hot day with my dad when I was 13. I love this area because it has a lot of cool things already mentioned. There is a homestead, cabins, a really interesting rock well, old ovens, pots and pans, and other things from the early 1900s. We have even found an arrowhead which is pretty exciting. So we decide to take a break from our unsuccessful morning hunt around this area. We sit down on this hill and notice a small 'cave' like thing in the side of the hill. It's about two feet tall and three feet wide. When we looked in it it seems like a darkness you can touch. I stuck my hand in it and from the opening the temperature drops at least 20 degrees. The next day we come back with a head lamp and look in it. For about ten feet you just see rocks and gravel, and spiders. I'm scared shitless of spiders. If it wasn't for that, I would have attempted to crawl in. The next week we returned and my uncle was staying on his ranch. When we talked about it he said that the man who owned it was a rich banker. Sadly we moved away and never really got to check it out, but it has potential, you never know.

I did some research about it after I saw them be cause it was super interesting. they were definitely tiny creatures in the sand and there is an ocean bacteria that can cause glowing so i think thats what it was. It was very tripy when ever I would step the ground would glow a blueish halo of color around my foot then the foot print would glow. plus i was super stoned so I was entertained by my glowing foot prints for a good 20 minutes.

God damn all this freaky shit is giving me chills because my backyard is a massive forest. There is a concrete house randomly in a forest bye and it has no roof. One day I checked it out with a friend. There was a tarp on the roof and half of it collapsed. There was nasty moldy beds and shit in it. So freaky glad the person who lives in it wasn't there

last friday me, my girlfriend and one of my best friends were walking through the woods and we heard a violin playing so we stopped walking toward it. it was so creepy! then the music stop and the guy walked passed us but he didn't have a violin

I've got quite a few.

My dad was out bowhunting alone last year in new territory and he was driving around scouting for elk. He stayed in the car because it was a dark and cloudy day, seeming like it would start to rain any second. Although it hadn't started raining, he was hearing a lot of thunder. Anyways, he was driving along this dirt road, and on the side of the road he sees a man, not in camo and without a weapon, holding his dog by his side and his arms at his sides. My dad waved because it would be awkward not to, being in the middle of the forrest and all, but as he drove by the man just watched him, with an emotionless face. My dad said the look was "unwelcoming". Of course he keeps driving and maybe ten minutes later, he sees the same man, with the same dog, and the same expression.

I wish I was there because this is pretty scary to me.

I came across a lot of stuff when I was young, I can't remember everything though. I found a toilet behind a tree, I'm guessing some squatters stole it and used it, a few wooden crosses with names (hopefully animals...), an axe, crowbar and knife sitting by a stream rotting, a couple of cars rotting, and the weirdest find was an old typewriter smashed on the side of a stream. I also found a few 'huts' made of wood, never had the balls to enter them though.

But it's pretty much to only close by green area in Amsterdam.
It's called the Vondel park and it's just 0.18 square miles.

It's fucking beautiful and romantic do, I can see why people are having sex there all the time.
