Finger nails falling off

so today i was closing my car door when i slammed my fingers in it only 1 actually got injured.
the nail fell off and it bled. im wondering what is should do to help it heal quickly and what i should use keep it not infected. has this ever happened to you what did you do when it happened?

Both of my dad's thumb nails are crushed from when he slammed them in 2 different car doors.

In 6th grade I was doing coffins down the walkway at my house. My phone fell out of my pocket and I reached down to grab it and ran over my ring finger. It bled like fuck and I cracked like half of it off. A few weeks later in social studies I ripped it off. I kept it in my pocket till' second period when I had reading with this old hag of a teacher. I showed it to her, she flipped out and I missed basically the whole class.

Lost half of my thumbnail. Landed on my hand switch while skiing. Didn't do anything besides drilling a hole at first. After about a month the one half tore off leavin the exposed bed. A month after that my nail is 1/2 back. It's a verrrrry sloooooow process to grow a nail back.
