Putting the chairlift bar down

Every video ive seen of pro s/ other kids on newschoolers riding the chairlift, they never put the bar down. Why the fuck would you not put the bar down? Its more comfy to rest your skis on the bar, and if u lean forward you dont die. It seems like they just do it to act hard or something, but I think its really stupid not to put the bar down, especially on super sketchy high chairlifts.

I cant stand when i get on a lift with ppl and they put the bar down. Annoying as fuck. Like whats the bar for? So you dont fall off if you try to jump?

I only put it down if really small kids are on. If the asian bitches try to put it down I give them a dirty ass look and sometimes they stop

Sometimes, I like to think that I'm too gangster to use the bar. Other times I think that I'm too lazy to use the bar. Most of the time it's a combination of both.

Depends on the lift/bar:

Does the bar have foot rests? Are my feet sore/tired?
Are there little kids with me? Are there people that need the bar down?
Is the lift crazy sketchy?
Is it windy?

I usually leave it up, the worst is when people bring it down without warning and it hits you in the head or worse, your goggle lenses.

Smallest hill in mass makes u put down the bar on an old 2 person that has a whopping 13 feet off the ground at its highest point, I bring to you, the blue bump, on the other hand nowhere in NH I have ever skied makes you put the bar down also heard the foot rest is bad for your feet, ill ask CAV again why he told me but I can't remember and some doctor told him on the lift, something to do with feet and ankles and pressure
