POWDER SKI HELP

+K for help -----k for hate

im needing a good powder ski that is reletively cheap to get for next year. im 5'3" and weigh 108 lbs.

i want something from 105-120 underfoot and 180 cm long... ive been thinking the k2 obsethed but i just dont know. any suggestions on what ski i should look into? if u have some for sale then i might buy them from you also

and also i am going a little bigger than i should because i know im starting to hit my growth spurt and im gonna grow before next season

Your pretty small, I think that a 180cm ski will be way to big for you. You ski park city so not very steep, maybe check out like a 175 JJ or 174 rossi s6 / surface new life. Even if it means you have to sell and get new skis next year or the year after, you will be much happier in the long run. Basically, depending on how much rocker, I'd say mid 170's max.

I have a pair of 175 JJ's for cheap they are used but you can ski them until your bigger

Big questions:

What is your budget?
What kind of pow skiing you doing (BC park, drops, steeps, chutes, trees etc.)?
Where do you ski?

that will help narrow it down.

How old are you?

180 is going to be way way to big for you and it will probably hold you back rather then helping you progress. As a reference I'm 5'11, 170lbs and use a 184, so a 180 for you would be huge.

You may not like to hear it but woman's powder skis may be better, look at the K2 woman's skis, I see allot of kids using them. Basically the same as the men's but they come in smaller sizes.

If it were me, id buy something which works well for you at the start of the season, then if you do grow out of them, sell them and get something new.

look at the jj or maybe next years magic js, also the rocker 2 might be an option

This might be the way to go for a season. Your only 5'3" so I wouldn't go to big especially if your plannig on being in tight trees...

Totally agree with everyone you need a 175. And at 500 new you are looking for a used pair of jj's, older line sir francis bacons in the 172, or older new lifes in a 176. Maybe 168 moment night trains or ghost chants too.

yeah really at your age, and height weight ect I would look for some smaller skis. See if you can find any K2 Nancys, should be very cheap, so it almost dosnt matter is you grow out of them in a season.

Width wise, you probably dont need them so wide. Skis are wider to stop bigger guys like me sinking in deep snow, however your light so you wont have that problem. A 100m ski should be fine for you, and you should hopefully be able to still carve it, in bounds.

For size I would say at MOST 170 and at least 150. Shoot for the 160s most likely.
In terms of skis I have heard good things about Salomon Rocker 2s, K2s, Volkl's and Armada JJs.
