Importing and exporting from premiere?

Is there certain settings I should use when Importing and/or exporting? My videos always seem to turn out really bad. Editing on premiere cs6 and filming with a t3i if that makes a difference.

Export in h.264 with a bit rate of 8. Make sure theres no blur or anything. And just import whatever your camera settings are.
