Bindings

Hey, I am in the market for new bindings for my rossi scratch's.
I way 135lbs and I am 5'8, I'm not sure if this matters but i ski mostly rails and I hike a lot. I would be set on buying Fks 140's, but i've already had them and I've broken the brakes and the base plate, which is their major flaw, every time i break a brake the plastic under the binding snaps in half.
I also have ridden the Marker griffons and they had no major flaws but I felt they were a waste of weight because of the large mass, but all plastic.
Now i have no clue which bindings to get next. Im contemplating the squires ( yes I know they are flimsy, but I have never broken any part of my bindings except for the brakes).
Help.

get a salomon sth 14 or sth 14 driver. stay away from griffons. sliding afd plate is not good for park.

squires give you less control over the ski and like you said they are flimsy. get sth 14 or 16

If you go for sth, make sure you get the driver toe. The z toe is shit but the driver is amazing.

FKS are great bindings but they do have some major flaws, namely not being able to easily swap out the brakes and base plates, which is pretty much standard today on all other bindings.

Like everyone above Id recommend an STH, but for your weight id only get the STH 12 driver, unless you have your din on 11-13 the 12 will be fine for you. But make sure you get the driver version, not the oversize. On the box it will say STH 12 DR, if it says STH 12 OS, thats the oversize version, which is a beefy version of the Z toe, not the driver. The heels are the same though on all STH bindings.

this may seem silly but i feel weird using salomon bindings on rossignol skis..

^ yeah that is very silly indeed. Don't not get a great binding just because it does not match your skis

You're silly. It's not a waredrobe, it doesn't need to match, and you can use them before and after labor day

+1 for sth14's w/ driver toe. Doesn't really matter. My next bindings I buy though will be look pivots or 4frnt deadbolts, just to try something new.
