That is why weights on your feet are kinda pointless. They just make your feet heavier, they don't give you any mass at a distance from you. It is the interaction of this mass about the axis of rotation that makes it feel how it feels.
If I backflip on a tramp the way I backflip on skis, I fly backwards about 10ft. That's not to say that tramp flips don't help, because they're really good for air awareness and just feeling the rotation, but things change a lot when you take them to snow. Plus factoring in the kicker changes things as well.
