I'm 5'10", 179 K2 Revival or 176 Volkl Ledge? +k for help!

I really need help! I bought 179 K2 Revivals with griffon schizos last year and rode on them the entire season. I'm 5'10" and 170 pounds. The length is fine for groomers, but I felt like they were a little long for me in the park. I landed a couple sketchy 3s towards the end of the season, just to give you an idea of my skill level..
My question is, would it be worth it to trade my Revivals for the Ledge? I have a deal that I could work out with someone. Or would 3 cm of length and a little more flexy ski not be worth the trade? Because I'm just worried that I'm not good enough at park to really make a decision on this. I know that ski length varies with the person: some like them longer/shorter than other people. But I just don't know what I prefer in the park yet. Would it be easier to progress on a pair of shorter sticks?

k2 revivals also measure a bit longer than most other skis, they end up being like 182. im your size and i ride a pair of 179 recoils, which are pretty much the same ski with a few small changes. you're in kinda a middle ground where you could go either way and be fine. if you want more stability on bigger jumps (which it doesnt really sound like you need) go with something longer. if you want something that is a little more manuverable and easier to throw around, go with something shorter. its all personal preferance at that point for you.
i would also take a look at the 174 recoil, which my friend rides who is a bit bigger than you and kills it on them, he thinks the 179 is a bit too long.
i would probably go smaller if i was you

Yeah I would definitely consider the recoil, but my only option is the ledge, because I don't think I wanna sell my skis then buy new ones when I can trade instead. Thanks for the help man, and I already have you at 10/10!

i would say dont trade. you are trading a well built k2 for volkl's entry level park ski. its construction will not be anywhere near as solid. also, if you're having trouble with your revivals feeling long in the park, use that schizo and move the midsole of your boot forward.

Well the Revivals definitely aren't TOO long for you. But, like its been said its all preference. You and only you can decide if you need something shorter. After skiing a season on them you should be able to tell if the length was good or bad. If you feel you want something shorter, theres nothing wrong with doing that. If you think you can use the 179's, keep them because as you progress you'll probably find that you will want that extra length.
