How to get pic/vids off iphone without iphoto

sorry if this has been asked before but i just got an iphone and cant find a good way to get my pictures and videos onto my computer without iphoto...what's the best/most popular way to do this?

i have a private photobucket account, and I just upload to there via their iphone app.

Email them to yourself. Create a new text then for the contact, put your email. Then just add the pictures and send the message. Check your email and there should be a message containing all the photos you've sent. Then you can just save em to your computer.

Assuming for PC, should be very similar for mac:


Plug in iphone/ipod>Click start>Open my computer>Click Apple iphone/ipod>Internal Storage>DCMI>80AAAAA (thats what mine is, might be different for you)> All photos should be there!!

thanks for all the replies!

i have just been emailing them to myself, but like someone mentioned, im not sure how many you can do in one batch and i dont know if i can email full quality videos to myself

also im no computer whiz but i will try that^ kind of thing where i actually just find the files when it's plugged in..hopefully that works, i'll try

if not, and nothing better is suggested, ill do what 1337 said and get an app for it to get it to the internet and from there it's smooth sailing

-Plug your iphone into your computer.

-Go to "My computer".

-Find the usb port with the iphone plugged into it

-Click on the iphone (your computer will recognize your iphone as a camera)

-Select the porn you want and save them

-????????

-Double jerk station

got a mac... don't see the iphone pop up as a hard drive or camera or anything..

It's so much easier to upload the pictures to iPhoto, why don't you want them on iPhoto?

no i agree it's fine on iphoto, i just dont have it for whatever reason..figured there MUST be another way
