Mountain bike Backpacking

This summer my family and I are going mountain biking and backpacking combined into one and I'm super stoked. Who else out there has done it?

don't go off mountain bike touring with a huge hiking backing on! get a frame style pannier if you're going to be going for awhile/want to do this often/long term.

ha yea im not really looking to do it long term, just lookin to have some fun. Its not that long either so it wont be to bad. Thx for the advice tho
