Just got the ever-popular T2i today and after messing around for about 20 minutes, I ended up with some standard sunset shots. let me know what you think.

Nice pics! Those are pretty good for the first time with your DSLR. Can't wait until I get mine. Have you downloaded magic lantern? Too bad you didn't have it yesterday you could have gotten some of the Venus Transit pics!

What exactly is magic lantern and I'm guessing it would work with T3i, but what is it? that might be a dumb question but i don't have time to look it up but I'm guessing you guys can have an easier explanation anyways

this is a horrible explanation, but from what i understand, magic lantern lets you basically "unlock" features on your camera that are already there but are unusable for whatever reason.

so its like jail breaking except with a dslr does it void warranty or anything?

majic lantern is just a third party firmware that adds a shit ton of features to your camera to make video recording smoother and some cool picture things like a built in intervolometer and such. the list goes on. definitely worth getting if you have a t2anything and i have never had a single problem for as long as ive had it on miy 60d
