What does it do when you add a friend on NS? What's the point of it when they don't have to accept it? Thanks

if they're online they're listed in a friends list, at the right, above the 'full' online members list ....

it's easy to stay in touch with people you're actually friends with or people who have been in contact with you (ie. buyers/sellers or simply people who've helped you out with something or vice versa ....

if i have reason to friend somone ill usually pm them to say im doing it.   its cool to know people better than what you see in threads. and friending them makes that easier

I think i've talked to or know in person 98% of the people on my friends list. Other two percent are orange name companies

same here, except i also try to keep a complete list of all the mods/admins and of all the riders in the lowlands (belgium and the netherlands) just to have an idea how many of us are on NS ...
