Two years ago, Jon Olsson made a mistake in choosing to end his super sessions event, running just the JOI. Although JOI is fantastic to watch and provides a setting for so many incredible new tricks, I feel that something has been lost. Every year I watched every single JOSS edit, each one getting me more and more excited about skiing and trying new tricks, seeing the variety of styles and skills to be learned. Style, what makes skiing worth watching, seemed far more obvious in those edits than in any competition I have seen, perhaps because in shooting, people could showcase a wider range of rotations and grabs other that just doubles and triples (although they are entertaining to see aswell). Does newschoolers NEED joss? Of course not. People on here produce incredible ski porn which more than replaces the JOSS edits. But wouldn't it be sick to see more competitions like JOSS such as the coors light challenge? I think so. what do you think?
