Usually MRG is sick and they have better terrain IMO, not as good snowfall but I like the mtn better. Also the Bush is right close by.

why does everyone always seem to forget about sugarloaf when talking about the east? Its a bitch and a half to get to but if you hit it on the right day it is easily one of the very best in the east. Its also the biggest mountain east of the rockies

That's why you can't fucking beat the New England pass, (east coast). Either way, I was ripping white heat and I see a pass glowing in sun so I pick it up and lifte was sketchy so I put in pocket and forgot to return. Tried hitting up "Bryan grover" but nothing.. Kinda looked like a goon tho

the chic chocs in quebec, the newfoundland fjords, mt katahdin, mt washington...there is backcountry skiing in the east, people just often over look it.

sugarloaf and jay would be my two choices for resorts. Both have some good sidecoutry too. I never hit it as i didnt have touring gear at the time, but there is a run on sugarloaf called kill switch off of the top of timberline dropping into the backside on the crocker side, instead of the burnt side. I guess its a huge chute through the trees that gets loaded up with snow, you need to either tour out or sled out. Bit random i know, but its just yet another thing on my east coast to do list if i make it back there in the winter at some point.

didn't knew it was called kill switch, but I know what you are talking about. Hopefully there is good snow this year and me and my buddies are planning to hit it and have someone sled us out of the logging road.

Tremblant is just really really busy and way to over-priced. Some good runs off the edge and expo chairs. They nailed the park this year, great jumps and fast laps.

Le massif gets really good snow for the east coast!

That other mtn was responding to another part of his post IMO Maine has some better mtns than VT (ie, Sunday River, Sugarloaf etc.) I was responding to how he posted all VT for Pow Park and Size...

That's why you go to MRG when there is snow and bush when there is not. Just an idea. These are not my favorite mtns but they are good and were overlooked in this thread.

naw, I didn't make it up this year at all, I have also never heard of this park... I usually go w/ my cousins who have a house on the mtn but the last time I went was closing weekend April 2011. Seems silly to have a park because it is a different style mtn, you know like with out boarders but sounds kind of fun to shred!
MRG is like alta and the Bush is like PC, of the east haha.

they have a 15 foot natural log cannon rail covered in box material, then a 20 foot a frame, box material on top. they also have some jibs on the practice slope

lol, Their parks are not very far apart, also their pipe wasn't bad at the end of the year this season, oh and they are adding in another park and pipe next year.

doesnt even take long to get from one park to another... it takes a little while if you go from jib to starlight but if you book it down the trails its not too bad... the pipe blew this year but yet it was still better than the one at loon when i went so im not complaining

This may be because i ski PA but I went to SR and loaf, this year And even tho conditions were bad, they blew the best seasons down here away. If I rip fresh groomed tracks on my last run of the day that's pretty fucking good, not to mention you can't get bored at all
