can't really help you there, i skied both in super slushy conditions so can't really judge about the base quality, but i'd imagine they'd perform pretty similar in terms of base-quality
i also skied a pretty short AoS, and the flex felt pretty average for the park skis, something more my size would've been on the stiffer side i'd guess
anyways, don't be afraid of a stiff ski, i used to look for a jib noodle too before i learned to appreciate the stiffness in a ski, right now i ski coreupt tj schillers from a few years back and they're probably one of the stiffest and most cambered skis ive ever been on and i love em, but it totally depends on what you want, i also ride EP pros which are the complete opposite (stiff, skinny cambered vs a fat rockered noodle) and i love those too, i guess it depends totally on the day and on what you want to do with em ...
long story short, considering flex is pretty hard to judge and is also quite subjective, i'd rank aos as medium stiff and the domain as medium soft (if they had rocker which i don't know for sure) it might have also made em feel a bit softer than they actually are ...
