Post your favorite art projects 2011-2012

Since it's already the end of the school year, or getting close to it for most of you, you must have a pretty big pile of art projects from the year. So which one is your favorite?

Mine is a portrait I did of Tyler, The Creator. I found this picture online, gridded it, drew it, and used colored pencil with black sharpie to color it in. Then added a few Supreme logos in the background.

not my favorite but one of them. everyone in one of my classes had to do this one. pastel of a black lab in any colors we wanted. yes it's instagrammed, but only for the black frame.

haha that's pretty strange, and yeah there's been a few projects where I think pastels would've worked better. My art teacher had me try to blend colored pencil which was really difficult, and when you tried to fix it, it usually made it worse. lol

ya blending colored pencil is tough. i find putting down white (especially for light colors) then going over it and using a blending stump or my finger works well. have you tried watercolor pencils? those are all kinds of fun to come up with color combos with

My school doesn't have them, but this girl I was dating stole a bunch from her school and gave them to me. They were really interesting, hard to figure out at first. Like how much to draw before you use the brush.

I mainly did graphic design stuff this year. May post my fictitious wu tang concert poster later. It's mad dope. In am abandoned building with light bleeding through the one window and the wu tang w is over that an added some smoke at the bottom too. Shits dope

its easier to do it with pastel because you dont have to worry about it drying. thats what i hate about acrylics, if you want to change something like the blending, you have to redo the whole thing

add some paint retarder, makes the blending easier when it's wet. also a small amount of water (i mean like barely dipping the tip in some water) can help with blending of wet paint into dried paint.

Mine is in the art show.. But it's a black and white print of the sign I'm front of y house with an epic sky behind. Also I made a sculpture of me doing a flat 3 Japan that came out hella nice

Wow.. that misty 5 that guy on the roller blades did at Woodward was gnarly. So many great shots in that edit, that was fun to watch. Extremely well done!
