My new summer set up

so i finally built it, after a couple threads and many questions. it came out really good so im posting some pics, because they might answer somebody elses questions.

first day, just figuring things out

its starting to take shape

put some supports up

this is how we connected the box to the in run

looking at the transition

looking down from the top

looking at the in run

the start of the transition

how we made the ramp

how we did some transition angles

the first transition angle

we basically decked the transition. we used decking planks then did the astroturf in 3 sections, down, flat, and ramp, to help it not bunch up

on the underside

the final product!

it was 7 feet tall, 2 feet wide. feel free to ask any questions on specs or how we built it

i will be posting an edit on youtube soon of us hitting it, so ill put that here, too.

Its scary the first few times but you get used to it. We climb up a ladder and step on, then somebody else hands us our skis and poles. It really doesnt wobble bad

I have a setup similar to this, and i think your may be a little skinny and it seems like your transitions are a little sketchy since the angles are so direct, i used some thin plywood on mine to help curve out the transition and make it more gradual, also 7 ft is not too tall, thats a pretty good height if you wanna be able to get a good amount of speed comparable to real snow

It costed around 350. We havent had problems with the transition yet. Were building a 10' pvc cannon rail this week, and using it with the box, so we can 18' of slidey goodness

Haha that would suck. Its pretty far away from anything though. A neat thing about it is that the top structure can detatch from the inrun so we can store it. I think were going to dig out the grass it sits on so its safer

it's actually perfect, the only problem is that it's not large enough

check mine, it's 3 meters high so almost 10ft high but it's large enough, the down of the drop in is 3ft wide and the flat part is 4ft wide so it's less sketchy

I wouldn't know because I don't own one but most videos have set ups less than a foot higher than the skier. Also there was that how to build a summer set up thread in which i think they say it should be like a bit less than 2 meters or a bit more than five feet. I don't really remember though haha.

7 feet seems perfect so far. Right now were jumping almost half of our box, which is 8 feet

kk check my vids haha with my setup I can shred over 45ft of rails, with a 2meters setup you'll shred a nice n sweet 10ft rail lol and I dont need any construction fence or pvc in my drop in, just some turf which is a lot better(less sketchy)

Not really sure how "tall" my drop in is, but I can drop in switch to a 35 foot rail. sketch factor = 0 My friends drop is around 8 feet tall and we hit a 21 foot rail with plenty of speed left over

I realize that 7 is normal now haha. read down and you will see, also as I said earlier in this thread I do not own a ste up and was basing this off of other people's threads on them and most being 5ft or 6ft high. :)
