Artists not showing up on my iPod

Lately whenever I get new music it does not show up under artists, just songs. I googled it and everybody says to uncheck the compilation option under "get info"

I did this and it did not fix the problem

any help would be much appreciated

Did you fill in the artist box on iTunes?

If yes, then try restoring your iPod to the factory default and reloading your music onto it.

If that doesn't work, consult an apple retail store.

Do you use the youtube 2 mp3 converter? I use that and just go to get info and type the artist into the artist box and it should work

Everyhing is correctly labeled. Actually now that you mention it all the problem songs are datpiff mix tapes

Sounds like the problem is that they're labeled as a compilation. I'd double check that.
