If anybody does know. what is the reall difference between the Gopro hero origanal and the Gopro Hero 2?? i dont want to waste 100$

the quality of the image is better in the hero2. it is worth it in my opinion and if you ever want to sell it, you will get more money for the 2.

I wanna say this, but the gopro is actually a really fun camera to play with though it's not one of those cameras you can make serious top quality edits with unless you abe.you can just have fun and enjoy the different mounts and angles it provides.

thank you alex, and they're not gaper edits, i've really wanted to be an editor and CS4 and Sony Vegas aren't the same as movie maker.. and haha if these guys saw the people at bristol, or the park they wouldn't think its so gaperish haha

wow thats rad. i have vegas and twix and cant acheive that... although i'm a noob. check this out for comparison

notice the * besides FOV @720.. wish that was done.. for now i'd stick with a hero 1080 for the $ difference..

I'll be honest OP, the only thing i use my gopro for is parties, its hilarious though. You just turn it on and do whatever but you get some pretty hilarious footy for the next morning.

resolution doesn't necessarily mean it a good video. all it is is 1 gopro shot of a backie with some super slo mo, its not hard at all to make that.

The Hero 2 takes 11mp photos and the Hero only shoots at 5mp, so that is a HUGE difference in image quality.

Also, when you are shooting in Burst mode, the Hero 2 takes10 frames a second where the Hero only takes 3 shots in Burst mode. When you are filming high-action sports, those extra shots make a huge difference.

And in time-lapse, the Hero 2 can take a photos every half-second compared to the Hero which can only take a photo every 1 second.

These factors make a big difference when it comes to capturing the right moment.

The lens on the Hero 2 is a lot clearer too and captures a wider field of view.

In my opinion, the Hero 2 is a much more powerful setup.
