A Google search revealed multiple sources telling me otherwise. However, perhaps your book is Canadian, because apparently they sometimes place periods outside of quotation marks up there.
ElGato's post has no subject, object, nor any other word other than the verb he so loquaciously posted. Therefore it was not a sentence and does not require a period.
You should also have "sigged" in quotation marks as you are making a reference to a specific passage. "Sigged" is also slang and for this reason as well should be in quotation marks.
Also, we are apparently icon buddies, but I've been going for five years strong. Get at me.
