For one, all of those articles are from over a decade ago.
More importantly, none of them address my most important point, which is the speed at which smokers get addicted to cigarettes. They all talk about the strength of addiction once users are already addicted. I'm talking about the process of getting addicted.
I bet that if you found the ratio of people who have ever used a smoked tobacco product to those who have ever been addicted to a smoked tobacco product it would be comparatively low.
But all of that is beside the point. It's their own damn choice, so let them make it. As I said, as long as people aren't smoking indoors in public places and leaving filters all over the place, I really don't give a shit.
