Smugglers notch late season

Basically my first year ski trip was 2 years ago at smugglers notch, we went on spring break aka late season even more so for east coast however I was wondering if anyone knew anything about theses skiers I saw. There lifts are terribly slow and the main peak madonna, is steep and has a triple black diamond. Anyway this is like no snow only natural and thus is only open certain days. We arrived it was like 95 degrees and everyone was skiing in shorts and t shirts but anyway we, my dad and I, are riding the chairlift up and we see these 3 skiers on what was like a 2 ft wide maybe 2 inches thick strip of snowy patches riding the triple black. I dont know if it was that I was new to skiing but I still regard it as the best skiing I have ever seen, So has anyone skied this or like heard stories of people riding the triple black at smuggs when it was closed and riding like one tiny narrow patch down and like hitting natural bumps etc, gettif crazy air

Smuggs is my home mountain. There are so many awesome trails everywhere.

That was definitely not me though, I barely rode Madonna this season.

I'm talking about last season or maybe 2, yeah it was 95 everyone was skiing in bathing suits and stuff but dopest skiers on like 1 ft wide sketchy ass line down triple black Actually it may have been upper Madonna lilt

Tbh I think a triple sounds stupid but read an article and it says it is truly 10x harder than any one of the double diamonds look it up smuggs.com

youre cute. But it sounds pretty rad to shred anything only on a little strip of snow. like ripping a do-or-die mogul line haha.

late season resort skiing on ec is all about beer, sketchy lines, grass/rock skiing, soft parks and total disregard for your equipment. Then they close and turn into private country clubs for motivated people.

Yeah but the more I think about it they were ripping Madonna upper lift line. It was sketchy and steezy as fck. Its insane tho like my memories of what they were going like getting huge air and ripping fast on little narrow strip of snow/grass everywhere around. l

Yeah I was gunna ask, sounds like they were probably ripping the headwall of upper lift line which is definitely just as gnarly as a lot of couloir's out west especially if there's just a strip. The whole triple black thing is a little bit of marketing ploy if you ask me though although "the black hole" is definitely mad fun

In the spring skiing sketchy trails with half width is one of my favorite things, especially if there's a narrow strip of snow off to the side, gives you the feel your skiing some kind of chute out west and makes mostly boring trails fun.

Jumping over patches of dirt and grass is a ton of fun too.

yeah the park kind of sucks but other than that my favorite place to ski (never been out west).
