Optimize computer performance

Hey NS, i was wondering if you guys knew of any ways to optimize computer performance. I've done some research and I think I need to clean out my registry keys and just delete some unnecessary files. Anybody know how to manually do this or know of a program that does this? I tried RegCleaner, but i kept getting an error whenever i tried to make a change with my files. I don't want to have to wipe my hard drive. I would like for my laptop to be able to run Pro Tools efficiently because it can not right now. Any programs, tricks? I'm on Windows.

yeah you need an aluminum case on your computer or else it wont work properly. and try to delete the right mouse button because it does nothing but clutter up your hard drive. also, the internet access at independent coffee shops tends to carry fewer viruses than any other wifi provider.

run disk clean
defragment your hard drive
if neither of those help at all you should stop watching so much porn, wipe your hard drive clean, and start fresh

I just upgraded my HDD to an SSD and it is one of the biggest speed improvements I have seen in my computer in a long time. It is worth it definitely.

Go into system config and change what programs and services start on boot.
