What are some quality cameras that wont blow my bank account

Im looking at buying a good quality camera that takes high quality shots and decent video. The price range is from 200-400$. Any recommendations? Much appriciated! +K for good advice!!

A canon vixia would be a great one They are in that price range, very easy to use, and get great quality video

It's gonna be this or a GoPro. Your price range really limits you.

The HF S100 is discontinued though, I think, so check these out as alternative Canons...

O then, If your looking for a photo camera you could go the dslr route Like a Canon t1 that doesn't do video but takes Great stills or you could go with a decent point and shoot and a lot of those shoot photo and video and are very inexpensive

just this winter, i bought a panasonic hdc-sd90 off of ebay for 330 dollars....

shoots 1080p 60fps, 24x optical zoom, touchscreen, manual and auto settings, the works. it's done me well but doesn't work well in the cold, you might find yourself buying extra batteries to warm up in your jacket. other than that i love it

unfortunately a 200 dollar magic camera/camcorder doesnt exist...save up a little more and check the entry level dslrs from Canon and Nikon that shoot video. you will appreciate it in the long run!

If you save up a few hundred dollars you can buy my current DSLR setup I'm selling. I haven't made the sale public yet, but if you can get the cash it's an entire photo and video setup.

I believe rebel xt's are cheap now, I have a older one and I'm really impressed with the photo quality there probably cheap now, look it up!
