How to make friends / get invited to parties

Soooo..... i always see pictures on facebook of these people having sick parties. but i never get invited.
i have come to the conclusion that im not friends with any of the people who throw the parties.

so im wondering how i make friends with the cool guys/ hot girls who throw parties so that i can get invited to them so i have something to do other then surf NS every fucking night.
and no, i cant just walk up to them and say hey, wanna be friends? i have gone to school with these people forever, that would be weird.
and one more issue, all the people who have these parties are mad perps, so i don't exactly fit into their cult thingy because im not rich, dont play golf or wear pastel colored khakis and golf shirts to school every day.

please help

getting invited to hs parties? not necessarily the worst thing in the world where advice is needed. but if this kid needs advice then here it is, like what everyone else said:

be yourself. if you want to get invited to parties, find a group of people with common interests (play an instrument join band/orchestra/chorus, if you like to act then join theater, soccer/swim/track play the sport, start a ski/snowboard club). honestly this will hurt a bit to hear, but you cant expect to be invited places just because you're around. a quick way to peoples hearts and admiration is through being yourself and never backing down from your resolve. eventually people will respect you for that and will invite you wherever.

don't do the thing where you have a party for a shit load of people. don't do the thing where you try to blend by meeting other peoples interests. in the long run that will wear you down physically and mentally, resulting in a step backwards from your original goal.

talk to one or two people, tell them that you would like to hang out. starts from there. putting yourself out there doesn't hurt.

also i'm going to go out on a limb and say this to you. from the way your post looks, it seems like you are in high school. in that case don't take shit too personally. honestly, i didn't get invited to many parties in high school, by not being friends with the "prep popular crowd." when i went to college though that shit changed real quick. i started a group that played soccer every friday, a group that expanded from the 8 of my buddies that played to include almost fifty players, even kids from the college varsity programs. i became president of the ski club, planning trips to ski resorts all over. my interest in hockey allowed me to make an extremely close friend, which expanded to conversations beyond that. my ability to play an instrument in orchestra allowed me to relate to interests other than sports. i joined a fraternity of guys that would do anything for me at the beat of a drum just by simply asking.

all of this happened because i was myself, and people respected and admired me because of it. and eventually those people in high school, those people that didn't invite you places, will be coming to you asking to hang out during vacations.

friendships are hard to come by, but they do come around through, again, JUST BEING YOURSELF.

honestly dude i didn't meant to scroll bomb. that ill admit was rude. but you just need to know that you will be fine and a missed party here and there will, no, SHOULD NOT, force you into a direction where you look down on yourself.

from the sounds of it you seem like a pretty nice kid. and being pleasant, outgoing, and forward will take you far.

thanks guys! but how does one go about just talking to a person. its weird to just walk up to someone in your class and start talking to them in a totally serious manner

but the issue is getting to be friends with these people so i can get invited to the party in the first place.

from experience man, the last place i want to talk to someone is at school, in class that is. Im the most anti-social person in class sometimes. But i'll talk to anyone outside of class, just join a club or something and meet people through that.

Example (kind of): i started/joined an ultimate frisbee team this year, and met a whole bunch of new people through it, now i had seen and talked to them at parties before but i didnt really know them. made some new friends, some of which are on the athletic council and student council, meaning im able to get my ideas across to people even though im not in the school politics. Trust me OP, joining shit like that is helpful.

Just ask dude. Yo man you know of any parties this weekend?? Most in my experience if it J's a decent party will tell you especially of you have some chronic or some drinks.

Just start talking to a girl in your class that throws parties and get her number for homework or whatever, or you can start by asking her on facebook and eventually come up with some reason to ask for her number, chances are she wont shut you down or anything. Text her a few times but not to often about an assignment in said class, even if it is bullshit and you are just trying to spark up a conversation. Eventually once you guys have started talking more in that class just text her asking whatsup and have a normal conversation. Later once she has started texting you for no reason but just to talk, you know that she considers you a friend and you can ask her what shes up to that night if you have heard there is a party somewhere. Once at said party get drunk and become friends with people there, and just talk to them in the halls or whatever if you have some spare time just to become better friends.

Truth is, it wasn't that sick.

-This isn't 4th grade anymore, it just sounds like a few kids that are your age getting drunk with a couple buddies and making it out to be way more than it was, in order to get kids like you to thinking they go hard.

You could do it on a beach, or park if there are any near where you live, but make sure you are far enough away from neighbors or people that will call the cops. Get kegs, and LOTS of beer and make people pay how ever much to compensate for the cost of beer and weed. If people bring beer let them in for free. Have your friends help you out. Trust me lots of people would come to this if you get the word out.

Lately kids at my school have been throwing dance parties at VFW halls and places like that. $5 to get in Advertised as alcohol and drug free but it is literally just a huge fucking party with like 3-400 people from 4 or 5 high schools showing up getting Fucked up. Sounds like a terrible idea but we have had like 5 and worked out fine every time. A couple kids have dj equipment and it is actually a sick dance party inside as well as a rager outside. Good times. Also the kids that throw it make like $400 every time.

My school is super stern about kids getting drunk at school functions. They either call the police or your parents. That sounds fun though and is a great idea. My friend who was senior last year lived next to the beach and he would throw parties on it during the summer and if it was nice enough you could sleep down there with a sleeping bag. Since the beach is private and far away from houses there are no police troubles. You also don't need to clean your house or worry about shit. Transporting the kegs was the hard part though.

It isn't a school function it's just kids getting together to rent out the venue and throwing a sick ass party. Bit I wish i lived near the beach that would be so ill

Here's what you do. get beer enough for you and some other people and show up to the party already a little drunk. you wont be as nervous and such and people will like that you have brought some brew. just show up and don't give a fuck about what people think. As long as you are a kind respectful person there shouldn't be a problem.

didn't read through all the comments so I don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but the best way to get in the loop is to starting hosting some get togethers... doesn't have to be a huge house party, but it has to have some slutty girls and be memorable. Wait till Friday and approach a kid who chills with a few girls and you may know as an acquaintance (don't pick a random jock or you'll have 300 people knocking at your door) and tell him that you have a lot of vodka you need to kill and that he should get some girls and stop over. He'll either come over with the girls or tell you about something else that is going on that night. If you get 20 people over and play some strip pong with the girls, get them to make out for the camera etc, you will have a ton of kids talking about it and coming up to you in school the next week and you will definitely have opportunities to get invited to the next party. Point is, you need something that is going to make the kids who are already going to all the parties want to bring you along..

At our school people throw kegs all the time. I threw one a few weeks ago. Get the keg. Steal some cups from qfc. Sell em st the keg for 5 bucks and before you know it youre making bank. We have them in parks/mini forests where the cops won't come for at least 2 hours.they day of you tell everyone you see to tell everyone. Tweet about about and then there you go. You got 150 people trying to buy beer you

thats the strat. parks, forests, beaches what ever. If it is nice out side have the party at a good outdoor location. kids who have parties that big at houses always get busted, house trashed and shit stolen.

Just stick with your group of friends. Occasionally throw out the idea of partying then eventually have your pwn little group party. If you really want to get in with the other kids though, just invite some of them a couple of times then youll eventually be in with them too.
